Clinic Staff


Ms Teo Lai Kheng is our Clinic Manager. Since the beginning of the Clinic, Ms Teo has been helping Dr Chan to set up and operate, first, the Clinic at Gleneagles Medical Centre in 2000 and later, the second clinic at Mt Alvernia Medical Centre in 2003.
She is a staff nurse by training, having graduated as an Assistant Nurse in 1980 and later with a Certificate in Nursing from the School of Nursing in 1983. During her subsequent years working in Toa Payoh Hospital and later at Alexandra Hospital, she was selected for further training in the field of Intensive Care Nursing and graduated with a Certificate in Intensive Care Nursing in 1989. She worked in both the Medical and Surgical ICUs in Alexandra Hospital and also had a stint in the Self Dialysis Unit.
In 1991, she was training overseas at the Victoria Infirmary and the Southern General Hospital, Greater Glasgow Health Board. She was subsequently registered as a Registered General Nurse with the United Kingdom Central Council for Nursing, Midwifery and Health Visiting.
In 1997, she was awarded the Civil Service Long Service Award in 1997 for 15 years of distinguished service.
As someone who is constantly striving to improve herself, Ms Teo went on to pursue a degree in Nursing with the University of Sydney. She graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science (Nursing) in 2006. In recognition of her outstanding scholastic achievement and excellence, she was granted membership in the Golden Key International Honour Society at the University of Sydney in 2006.
