peacefully yesterday morning at 1:04am. She
passed away in a state of sleep and I was
with her all the time. I am very consoled that
there was no suffering at the point of death. Thank You for your timely prescription of morphine in the morning which I believe aided her in her last moments.
Thank you for taking care of my mom these few months. Appreciate your empathy, compassion, reassurance and your guidance on how to manage End of life symptoms and for always patiently explaining the treatment options and responding to our numerous call for assistance even during the New Year.

Dear Dr Chan,
Thank you for caring for my mother Mdm LYT in the 2 years before she passed away (Mar 2023). You were attentive and kind, spoke to her slowly and audibly in Cantonese, and never hurried her visits.
Having you as her geriatrician gave me the confidence to care for her wisely, ensuring she was comfortable and not overly medicated – to live a relatively stable final two years.
She was warded in AH for 10 days (aspiration pneumonia) and passed away peacefully on 31 March – knowing she was surrounded by love. I’m deeply grateful.

I am Padmaja ,daughter- in- law of Mdm. S L Iyer.
Recently my MIL has been totally bed bound and refuses to move out of bed. Her problems continue to be quite challenging to handle. She needs full time attention and is difficult to handle. Since it is becoming extremely hard to cope up we decided to relocate to India where help and medical facilities are more cheaper.
We would be shifting her this week and will not be able to bring her to the clinic anymore. Would personally like to thank you for the care, concern and the excellent way you treated her. It did make it easier for us to a great extent to look after her.

This is a little note to say thank you for being so kind to my dad when he went for his appointments at your clinic. He looked forward to his clinic appointments with you, which is very rare for him. He passed away in Malaysia hospital in June. His long term pass visa was rejected and immigration would not allow him in Sgp indefinitely so he had to go back in May before reapplying to enter again. In hospital diagnosed with pneumonia, and RIP after a few days.
As I reflect back, my dad was very grateful for kindly medical staff like you. Thank you once again, for your kind help in his last months, to keep him comfortable and as functional as he could. Think for elderly , what is most important, not only medical care and treatment, more importantly, a caring doctor that truly listens to the frail and elderly.

Dear Dr Chan,
It is with sadness that I have to let you know that my father had departed on 17 Jan 2025 at Alexandra Hospital. His body was failing after having been admitted last end September 2024 and end of October 2024, and got readmitted again on 8 Jan 2025. His body was failing and his lungs were filled with phlegm which they tried to drain out but had much difficulty. My father was on full oxygen support for 5 days and finally took his last breath on 17 Jan at 12.30 pm.
I would like to thank you for taking good care of my father for the past 3.5 years and has brought much comfort and joy to him. He always enjoyed his conversations with you when you come to my house for house visits.
